The Law Office of Lewis-Crawford, LLC is managed by Jahida L. Lewis-Crawford. She is the proud mother of two. Ms. Lewis-Crawford is the great-granddaughter of the late, Rev. Richard Wilson and Matilda Wilson, granddaughter of 8th District Constable Charles Wilson, Sr., and the late, George Lewis, Audrey Davis Wilson, and Elnora Robinson. She is also the daughter of 8th Justice of the Peace Roscoe Lewis, Sr., and Eudonaise Wilson Lewis.
Ms. Lewis-Crawford is a Kenner native and graduate of Grace King High School in Metairie, Louisiana. Ms. Lewis-Crawford received her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice with a specialization in Probation and Parole and a minor in Social Welfare from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida. Ms. Lewis-Crawford also received her Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from the Loyola University of New Orleans. Ms. Lewis-Crawford completed and received her Juris Doctrine from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Ms. Lewis-Crawford has extensive experience in the areas of Personal Injury, Workers’ Compensation, Family Law, Successions, Wills, Traffic, Notary, and Criminal Law.
In August 2021, Ms. Lewis-Crawford was licensed to practice in Texas.

Dereck Rovaris, Jr.
Junior Partner
Dereck Rovaris, Jr., is a gifted young lawyer with a passion for justice and a unique skill for helping people in need solve difficult problems. Attorney Rovaris was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, and has a deep appreciation for every aspect of its culture. He is a proud graduate of St. Augustine High School and Tulane University. He was also blessed to study abroad at Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Cape Town, South Africa. In 2018, he earned his Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara University, in the heart of California’s Silicon Valley, where he also earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration. He also served as president of the Black Law Student Association while attending Santa Clara University.
Since 2019, attorney Rovaris has enjoyed the intellectual challenge of the courtroom and has gained meaningful experience in multiple areas of law, including personal injury, criminal defense, estate planning, real estate, medical malpractice and more. He is skilled in civil litigation and currently takes pride in helping injured clients receive financial compensation for their losses.
He is the proud son of Jillandra C. Rovaris, PhD, and Dereck Rovaris, Sr., PhD. When he’s not working, he enjoys live sports, music, and spending time with his wife Jasmine and two sons, Dereck Rovaris, III, and Nile Jordan Rovaris.
